You don’t need a college degree

I’ve decided to drop out of college.

This thought has been on my mind for 4 years now.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate education.

But what I do hate is how our parents got brainwashed.

They got fed this idea by schools and the government:

“You can’t succeed in life without formal education”

They can’t believe that you can succeed without a degree.

Developer, engineer, marketer, designer,…

These are all "titles" that a degree granted.

People were supposed to go to college, or else they'd be miserable, end up poor, and start doing drugs.

You didn’t even have the privilege to tell your parents you wanted to drop out at that time.

Not going to college meant societal death.

And this is still the case in many 3rd world countries.

But today, a paradigm shift has occurred.

A degree doesn’t guarantee success anymore.

Companies are laying off employees.

The economy is bad.

Inflation is rising.

The internet exploded.

AI is growing faster.

Learning became accessible to everyone.

Degrees don't make you stand out anymore.

The future of work is digital.

Winners will be the ones with a digital presence and online authority.

If you want to make it big in the next decade:

• Acquire a high-income skill

• Start selling it at scale online

• Diversify your income streams

That's my message to you, my friend.
